Works

All pieces are constructed from torn and painted strips of all-cotton, handmade khadi paper. Pieces with flat surfaces are built using strips of the same width. Pieces with undulating surfaces are made using strips of graduated widths. Strips are adhered one by one to painted birch panels with a super-strength industrial hot-melt glue. Glover mixes all her colors using hyper-pigmented acrylic paint, which has the highest light-fastness rating available. The surface of some pieces — see Light Through Water, Ithaka, and Fire In The Lake — are left without further treatment. The surfaces of other pieces are embellished with gold, silver, or copper metal leaf.
